because in all the excitement they still haven't seen their pg pics! Baby is due very soon, and we'll be headed back to this amazing location to do the newborn, but I wanted to share how utterly magical the pregnancy shoot was.

AND...South Australian Outdoor Portrait Photographer of the Year! It was announced on Tuesday night at the AAPP National Awards Dinner in Melbourne, and I couldn't be more stoked. The competition is one that takes into account a year's worth of print submissions, so it's a dedicated process, and very nerve-wracking! I'm so honoured to have won it.
This is one of the images I submitted, the fabulous Giselle and her second baby. For those who have followed my work, Giselle is the gorgeous pregnant mama in the archway with her hubby in my pregnancy gallery, and it was fantastic to get together to celebrate this new baby. I thought it was fitting that one of her images went towards my award too, they've been staunch supporters :)
So, I won't give an acceptance speech ;o) , but I will say that I'm so blessed with what I do, and the recognition that is flooding in. I'm looking forward to creating more award winning portraits for your families in the future.

A sneak preview!
We had a few failed attempts at getting the right day and weather for this sitting, but I'm so glad it worked out the way it did. It couldn't have been more perfect, even with the high tide at Brighton! So lovely to see you all again too :)

I wanted to show three images I just won silver awards for in an industry print judging :) I was really thrilled as these images are absolute favourites of mine. For anyone that knows the studio, the baby being held up on the beach was in my Christmas window, and the one of Bree and Cooper lying in the flowers is big on on the wall :) The last one is an new all time favourite (hi Sacha!).

We knew this would be a tricky shoot, a two year old and 9 month old twins, but wow...they really came through! They are all just so beautiful and coped really well with having wet bottoms :)

My handbag was stolen out of my car! With four burly mechanics watching on! I can't get over it. I was 20 metres away..so the car was in sight, but this guy knew what he wanted, knew that my bag was in there (must have been watching me :( ) and it was gone before I knew it. I don't care about the 'stuff' but I do care about my diary! It has my whole world in it and I have no clue what I'm doing now! To the lowlife that did it, if you have seen fit to delve into my life further...send the diary back. Please.
So, in the vain hope that upcoming clients who have appointments see this, please ring me! What a day...lol...the upside is that this morning I became an aunty for the first time! Welcome to little Grace Lee, and a big hug and a kiss to my sister Jill, and her husband Jim. Can't wait to see her :)
and...just because I HAVE to post an image with every post...it's compulsive, here are my beautiful boys. I had the opportunity to take them out yesterday as models for a mini teaching session I was doing, and got these. My handsome, co-operative boys :)
